Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably Italian-style)
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)
- Olive oil, for frying
Instructions:
Prepare the Chicken:
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.Set Up Breading Station:
In three separate shallow dishes, place the flour in one, beaten eggs in another, and a mixture of breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, and oregano in the third.Bread the Chicken:
