Barfi – Rich Indian Fudge
Ingredients:
- 2 cups full-fat milk powder
- 1 cup condensed milk
- 1/2 cup ghee (clarified butter)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
- A handful of chopped nuts (almonds, cashews, pistachios) for garnish
- A few saffron strands (optional)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Mixture:
- In a heavy-bottomed pan, heat the ghee over medium heat.
- Add the milk powder, condensed milk, and milk to the pan. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
2. Cook the Mixture:
- Cook the mixture on low heat, stirring continuously to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
- Cook for about 10-12 minutes until the mixture thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan.
3. Add Flavorings:
- Add cardamom powder and saffron strands (if using) to the mixture. Stir well to incorporate the flavors.
4. Set the Barfi:
